Republican Rep. Randy Weber Apologizes After Comparing Obama to Hitler

Many politicians expressed outrage after President Barack Obama didn’t show up to an anti-terror march in Paris this past weekend. Rep. Randy Weber (pictured), R-Texas, took to Twitter to share his frustrations, but as he criticized the President, he brought up Adolf Hitler’s trip to Paris after German troops invaded France during World War II. “Even Adolph Hitler thought it more important than Obama to get to Paris. (For all the wrong reasons.) Obama couldn’t do it for right reasons,” Rep. Weber tweeted. After receiving backlash for his outlandish comments, Rep. Weber has issued an apology. “I need to first apologize to all those offended by my tweet,” said Weber in a statement. “It was not my intention to trivialize the Holocaust nor to compare the President to Adolf Hitler. The mention of Hitler was meant to represent the face of evil that still exists in the world today. I now realize that the use of Hitler invokes pain and emotional trauma for those affected by the atrocities of the Holocaust and victims of anti-Semitism and hate.” Even though he apologized for the tweet he shared, Weber still believes that President Obama should be doing more to address these global issues. The 2015 Stellar Awards Nominations Released

The Stellar Awards is the first and oldest televised awards show that honors artists in the realm of gospel music. The nominations for the prestigious awards ceremony were recently released. According to Elev8, Erica Campbell, Ricky Dillard, Smokie Norful, and The Walls Group were nominated for artist of the year. Other artists that received nominations include Deitrick Haddon of “Preachers of L.A.,” for the Best Male Vocalist of the Year, and former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams for the Albertina Walker Female Vocalist of the Year. The popular song “Help” that features Erica Campbell and vocalist Lecrae was nominated for Song of the Year. Read more.


Bobby Brown Interview To Air Following Whitney Houston Biopic

The trailer for the Whitney Houston biopic “Whitney” has been circulating around, and many people are anxious to see her life story come to television. Following the debut of the biopic, the late-singer’s ex-husband Bobby Brown will sit down with “Access Hollywood” for a candid interview about his relationship with Whitney. During the one-hour special, entitled “Bobby Brown: Remembering Whitney,” Brown will sit down with reporter Shaun Robinson to have a discussion about what happened in their tumultuous relationship. The biopic “Whitney,” which was directed by actress Angela Bassett, is centered on the first five years of Brown and Houston’s relationship, showing how they met to when the couple decided to tie the knot. It also shows how drug abuse caused the disintegration of their marriage, with the two divorcing in 2006. The interview will air at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday Jan 17th. Read more.
